The position holder will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and coordination of Career Development and Structured Student Mentorship programmes that promote holistic student growth, employability, leadership, and social responsibility.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive Career Development, Mentorship, and Graduate Employability Strategy aligned with the Universitys strategic objectives.
- Establish and manage structured career programmes, including internships, industrial attachments, graduate placements, and experiential learning opportunities.
- Build and sustain strategic partnerships with industry, public and private sector stakeholders to enhance student opportunities and institutional visibility.
- Lead the design and delivery of career readiness, mentorship, and student development programmes that enhance employability, skills development, and student engagement.
- Oversee the Universitys work-study, international student support, and funding initiatives, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and institutional policies.
- Develop and implement policies, frameworks, and operational guidelines for career services, mentorship, and student engagement programmes.
- Monitor programme performance, track graduate outcomes, and utilise data-driven insights to drive continuous improvement and inform decision-making.
- Any other duty as may be assigned by your supervisor or as listed on the detailed job description.
- A minimum of a Masters degree in Education, Management Science, Psychology, Social Sciences or a related field from an accredited University.
- At least five (5) years of working experience in a large and reputable organisation with at least three (3) years in a leadership position.
- Experience in student career development, mentorship programmes, or community engagement.
- A relevant and recognised professional qualification.
- Membership in a relevant and recognised professional body
