Reporting to the Public Relations Officer, the position holder will be responsible for the following:
- Develop and implement engaging digital content across social media platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, and X, in line with the UniversityÂ’s marketing and communication objectives.
- Create high-quality videos, reels, YouTube Shorts, and TikTok content to enhance the UniversityÂ’s online presence, attract prospective students, and a vibrant student campus life through digital storytelling.
- Manage and optimise paid digital advertising campaigns, including Google Ads and Meta Business Suite (Facebook and Instagram Ads), to increase brand visibility, generate leads, and support student recruitment initiatives.
- Support Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) initiatives by conducting keyword research, optimising website content, and improving online visibility of academic programmes and institutional content.
- Plan, schedule, and publish digital content using content calendars to ensure consistent and strategic online engagement.
- Monitor and manage the UniversityÂ’s social media platforms by responding to inquiries, engaging audiences, and fostering an active online community.
- Generate and track leads from digital platforms, ensuring timely response and coordination with relevant departments for follow-up.
- Analyse digital performance metrics including engagement, reach, impressions, and conversions, and prepare reports to inform marketing strategies.
- Support the development and execution of digital marketing campaigns targeting prospective students locally, regionally, and internationally.
- Any other duty that may be assigned from time to time by the supervisor.
- Bachelor's degree in Media Studies, Communication, Digital Marketing, Marketing, or a related field from a recognised or accredited institution.
- At least one (1) year of relevant experience in digital marketing, including creation of digital content such as videos, reels, YouTube Shorts, and TikTok content for online platforms.
- Relevant professional certifications in Digital Marketing, Google Ads, Google Analytics, SEO, and/or membership to a professional body will be an added advantage.
- Demonstrated experience in social media management, content creation, and basic Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) to enhance digital visibility and engagement.
- Familiarity with digital advertising and analytics platforms, including Google Ads, Meta Business Suite (Facebook and Instagram Ads), Google Analytics, and Meta Insights, to support campaign performance tracking.
- Proficiency in video editing and short-form videography tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, or similar software will be an added advantage.
- Strong communication, storytelling, organisational, and content development skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively and an interest in student engagement and youth-focused digital storytelling.
