To design, develop, plan and deliver a programme of teaching to students, in order to enable them to complete their studies successfully and enable the university to generate income; to develop, carry out and manage research projects to extend knowledge of the relevant subject area; to provide service to the community and the professions; to translate knowledge into practice; to write or publish books or other creative works and to offer clinical services as a senior consultant depending on the discipline.
- To teach in areas allocated by the Head of Department.
- Designing, developing, planning and delivering a range of programmes of study, sometimes for entirely new courses at various levels.
- Delivering high-quality lectures and practicals.
- Reviewing course content and materials on a regular basis, updating when required.
- Collaborating with academic colleagues on course development, curriculum changes and the development of research activities.
- Carrying out research and writing research grant proposals.
- Seeking and participating in consultancies.
- Presenting research papers at national or international conferences and other similar events.
- Dissemination of research outputs.
- Providing mentorship and career guidance to students and staff.
- Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the supervisors or as captured in your detailed job description.
- A Bachelor of Education from a recognised/accredited University.
- A Master’s degree of Education (Education communication & Technology) qualification from a recognised/accredited University.
- Registered for a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or equivalent Doctoral degree qualification and progressing.
- Be registered or registrable with relevant professional body (where applicable)
- At least three (3) years of post-qualification work experience.
- Demonstrated university-level teaching and research.
- Commitment to high-quality teaching and fostering a positive learning environment for students.
