As part of its commitment to structured succession planning and merit-based career progression, the University announces Promotion Assessments for the positions below. In addition to qualifications outlined under each position, to qualify for the assessment, candidates must have:
Had a minimum annual average performance score of 60% in the last one year.
Had a clean disciplinary record in the past one-year.
Through their actions, consistently demonstrated organisational citizenship, a positive attitude towards work and commitment to the University Goals and Objectives.
Consistently adhered to the University’s Core Values and alignment with the University culture.
- Delivering high-quality lectures and practicals.
- Designing, developing, planning and delivering a range of programmes of study, sometimes for entirely new courses at various levels
- Collaborating with academic colleagues on course development, curriculum changes and the development of research activities.
- Carrying out research and writing research grant proposals.
- Presenting research papers at national or international conferences and other similar events.
Qualified candidates must have:
- A BachelorÂ’s and a MasterÂ’s degree qualification from a recognised/accredited university in the relevant field.
- At least three (3) years post-qualification work experience as a Graduate Assistant.
- Registered for a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or equivalent Doctorate degree qualification.
- Be registered or registrable with a professional body
