To provide effective administrative and academic coordination within the department by supporting the implementation of academic programmes, managing student-related processes, and ensuring smooth execution of departmental activities in alignment with the University's operational and quality standards. Reporting to the Head of Department - ICT & Engineering.
- Monitoring class attendance of both staff and students in Nairobi City Campus.
- Creation of classes in the system and workload allocation.
- Overseeing examinations and processing of examination marks.
- Taking disciplinary action related to class attendance.
- Follow up on Zetech Digital School audit reports and prepare departmental action item checklists.
- Overseeing end-to-end industrial attachment and semesterly students’ projects.
- Assisting in preparing and managing the departmental examination invigilation timetable.
- Handling escalated examination issues from Departmental Administrators.
- Providing secretarial support in departmental academic meetings, such as examination moderation.
- Coordinating student mentorship and academic advisory activities.
- Coordinating academic trips.
- Liaising with technicians and lecturers on the operation of kitchens, workshops, and related facilities.
- Reporting on assigned areas.
- Holds a Master's degree in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Education Technology, Cybersecurity, Business Information Technology, Data Science and Analytics or other related field from an accredited University.
- Holds a Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Education Technology, Cybersecurity, Business Information Technology, Data Science and Analytics or other related field from an accredited University.
- Registered or registrable for a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or equivalent Doctoral Degree qualification and progressing.
- At least 3 years post-qualification work experience.
- Demonstrable people management skills is an added advantage.
- Must have demonstrated university-level teaching and research experience.
- Be registered or registerable with a relevant professional body.
- Capable of working independently and committed to working collaboratively with a range of colleagues from across the university.
