Reporting to the Public Relations Officer, the position holder will be responsible for the following:
- Writing, editing, and proofreading articles, press releases, news features, announcements, and internal communication content for print and digital platforms.
- Assisting in planning, coordinating, and executing university events, including logistics, guest handling, branding, data protection, documentation, and post-event reporting.
- Updating and managing website content, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and brand consistency across all digital platforms.
- Providing professional front-line customer service by handling walk-in, email, and online enquiries from stakeholders.
- Supporting engagement and communication with internal and external clients, partners, alumni, media, and service providers.
- Capturing, organising, and managing photographic content from university events and activities for marketing and communication use.
- Maintaining communication databases, records, and reports, ensuring proper documentation and easy retrieval of information.
- Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time or as captured in the detailed job description.
- Bachelor's degree in Communication, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, Media Studies, or a related field from an accredited or recognised institution.
- At least 1 year of experience in communications, PR, or media.
- Excellent communication, content creation, organisational, and storytelling skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion and skills for event management and stakeholder engagement.
- Proficiency in computer applications and digital photography.
- Registration with a professional body will be an added advantage.
