S/he will be responsible for running HR functions, supporting other departments and employees with an objective of achieving a positive and impactful employee experience.
The position holder will be responsible for the following, amongst others:
- Staff planning, budgeting and budget control
- Job evaluation and analysis, managing recruitment and selection including new employee onboarding
- Talent review and succession planning
- Analysing and monitoring performance of departmental objectives and SWOT
- Learning and development needs analysis and implementing learning and development programmes
- Managing staff performance and employee recognition and rewarding
- Making HR decisions and providing support including sound HR advise to departments, faculty and staff prioritising a positive employee experience
- Collecting employee feedback and acting accordingly
- Coordinating, guiding on and implementing staff disciplinary policy
- Managing employee separation
- Planning and implementing employee wellness programmes
- Payroll management
- Organising and running staff events
- A Bachelor degree in human resource management from a recognized university; A Master’s degree in human resource management is desirable
- Certified Human Resource Professional certification
- Up to date IHRM membership
- At least 5 years relevant experience, experience in a University setting is an added advantage
- Must possess working knowledge of the labour laws
- Must possess demonstrable skills of an Employee Experience Champion
- Possesses good communication and interpersonal skills
- Must have good IT skills
