- To teach in areas allocated by the Head of Department. Â
- Designing, developing, planning and delivering a range of programmes of study, sometimes for entirely new courses at various levels. Â
- Delivering high-quality lectures and practicals. Â
- Reviewing course content and materials on a regular basis, updating when required. Â
- Collaborating with academic colleagues on course development, curriculum changes and the development of research activities. Â
- Carrying out research and writing research grant proposals. Â
- Seeking and participating in consultancies. Â
- Presenting research papers at national or international conferences and other similar events. Â
- Dissemination of research outputs. Â
- Providing mentorship and career guidance to students and staff. Â
- Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the supervisors or as captured in your detailed job description.
- Registered for a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or equivalent Doctoral degree qualification and progressing;
- A MasterÂ’s of Science qualification in Electrical and Electronic Engineering /Master's of Technology in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from an accredited University.
- A Bachelor of Technology Education (Electrical and Electronics) or a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from an accredited University.
- At least three (3) years of post-qualification work experience.
- Demonstrated university-level teaching and research experience.
- Be registered or registrable with the relevant professional body (where applicable)
