- Teaching areas allocated by the Head of Department.
- Delivering high-quality lectures and practical classes.
- Overseeing clinical practice, providing students with real-world learning experiences and guidelines in industry settings.
- Reviewing course content and materials on a regular basis, updating when required.
- Collaborating with academic colleagues on course development, curriculum changes and the development of research activities.
- Presenting research papers at national or international conferences and other similar events.
- Disseminating research outputs.
- Providing mentorship and career guidance to students and staff.
- Any other duty that may be assigned from time to time by the supervisor.
Reporting to the Head of Department, the teaching staff will be responsible for:
- Registered for a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or equivalent Doctoral degree qualification and progressing.
- Master of Science in Human Anatomy, or a closely related field from a recognised/accredited university.
- A Bachelor’s degree in either Medicine, Surgery, Nursing, Pharmacy, Medical Laboratory Sciences, Biomedical Sciences OR any other relevant health sciences degree with a strong anatomy component from a recognised/accredited university.
- Registered as a member of Society of Human Anatomy of Kenya.
- At least three (3) years of post-qualification work experience, with demonstrable competence in Human Anatomy teaching
- Attended and contributed at academic conferences, seminars or workshops.
