We are seeking a leader to provide strategic and operational leadership in the management of university examinations, ensuring that the examination processes are efficient, transparent, and aligned with the University’s policies and regulatory standards by overseeing the planning, coordination, administration, processing, verification, and publication of university examinations and results while ensuring excellent service delivery to applicants, internal departments, and external stakeholders.
- Coordination and management of university examinationsÂ
- Oversee examination timetabling, printing and administration
- Ensure compliance with examination regulations and quality assurance standards
- Manage examination results processing
- Manage the verification and release of examination results
- Prepare examination budgets and procurement plans
- Induct staff and students on examination policies and procedures
- Oversee examination setting, safe storage, administration, marking, and results verification
- Oversee moderation of examinations
- Coordinating the appointment and management of external examiners in liaison with academic schools
- Monitoring implementation of external examiner reports
- Oversee preparation and auditing of graduation list
- Liaise with records office on issuance of transcripts and certificates
- Safeguarding the credibility and security of all institutional assessments
- Any other duties as may be assigned.Â
Reporting to the Deputy Registrar-Academic Affairs, the position holder will be responsible for:Â Â
- A minimum of a MasterÂ’s degree from an accredited university
- A qualification in Education from a recognised university will be an added advantage
- A relevant and recognized professional qualification
- Membership to a relevant and recognized professional body
- Candidates must have at least five (5) years of relevant working experience, including a minimum of two (2) years in a supervisory position
- Proven experience in managing complex examination processes
- Experience with examination bodies, academic regulations, policies, and quality assurance frameworks
- Proficiency in using academic management information systems.
- Possesses leadership and team management skills.
- Possesses organizational and planning skills.
- Possesses strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
- Advanced computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, data analysis tools & AI.
