The purpose of this position is to carry out teaching roles, student mentoring, research and other duties in liaison with the university’s overall goal
They will be reporting to the Chairman of the Department of Information Communication Technology, Media, and Engineering and will be responsible for the following:
- Any other duty that may be assigned from time to time by the supervisor.
- Providing mentorship and career guidance to students and staff.
- Disseminating research outputs.
- Presenting research papers at national or international conferences and other similar events.
- Seeking and participating in consultancies.
- Carrying out research and writing research grant proposals.
- Collaborating with academic colleagues on course development, curriculum changes, and the development of research activities.
- Reviewing course content and materials on a regular basis, updating when required.
- Delivering high-quality lectures.
- Designing, developing, planning and delivering a range of programmes of study, sometimes for entirely new courses at various levels.
- Teaching Information Communication Technology-related course units as allocated by the Head of the Department.
- Is a member of a relevant professional body.
- Has evidence of attending and contributing at academic conferences, seminars, and workshops.
- Attracted research funds.
- Has evidence of publications as a Lecturer/Research Fellow.
- Is up to date with industry standards.
- At least 3 years of teaching/research experience at the University level as a Lecturer/ Research Fellow/Tutorial Fellow
- A minimum of a relevant PhD, Master's and Bachelor's degree in Information Technology Communication or a related field from an accredited and recognised university.
