• Teaching areas allocated by the Head of Department. 
• Designing, developing, planning and delivering a range of programmes of study, sometimes 
for entirely new courses at various levels. 
• Delivering high-quality lectures and practicals. 
• Overseeing clinical practice, providing students with real-world learning experiences and 
guidelines in industry settings. 
• Reviewing course content and materials on a regular basis, updating when required. 
• Collaborating with academic colleagues on course development, curriculum changes and 
the development of research activities. 
• Carrying out research and writing research grant proposals. 
• Seeking and participating in consultancies. 
• Presenting research papers at national or international conferences and other similar 
events. 
• Disseminating research outputs. 
• Providing mentorship and career guidance to students and staff. 
• Ensuring all academic activities align with the standards of the Council of Legal Education. 
• Any other duty that may be assigned from time to time by the supervisor.

? Master’s in Law (LLM) from an accredited university. 
? Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from an accredited university. 
? Registered or registrable for a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or equivalent Doctoral 
degree qualification. 
? At least three (3) years of post-qualification work experience 
? Demonstrate potential for university teaching and research.
